Hide and Seek

Back in my day* there was nothing I enjoyed more than seeking out new hiding spots, from the makeshift cubby under my bed (post-bedtime reading sessions, what a rebel!) and elaborately constructed cubbies underneath the stairs, all the way through to various creek-side nooks and crannies, a not-so-secret "secret" bamboo patch, and probably my favourite, a secret underground dugout hidden under the canopy of a large willow-like tree (more torch-lit reading sessions!)

Admittedly, the dugout was not my own creation - one of my neighbours was the mastermind behind that. Looking back it was probably incredibly unsafe, and let's not mention why a tween boy would need a single-person sized hidey-hole. I'd really rather not tarnish my fond childhood memory, thank you very much!

Moving on. There's really nothing like the excitement of being in on a secret, even if it's just between you and nature, and especially if there's a teeny tiny hint of danger too (keep it legal people!) So with a love of nature and a healthy respect for the law, let's play a little hide and seek!

And with that, I'm off for a little weekend frivolity. Everyone have a safe and wonderful break, and I'll see you back here on Monday with some very exciting news for you all!

P.S. I did promise you some fashions from the forest but I found far too many beautiful photographs to squeeze into this post...so this time next week will be all about Friday Forest Fashionistas! <3

*Sorry, I just had to do it!
