Secret Garden Parties - Mad Hatter Optional

Tuesday was all about Mad Tea Parties and Wednesday was about Secret Garden wanderings...that must mean this fine Thursday is time for lavish tea parties in secret gardens! That train of thought makes complete sense, right?

Today is a little less literature and a whole lot of lovely, so set yourself up with a tea, relax and soak up some inspiration for your next garden soirée! (I've capped my teacup quota, because as you may have noticed, I tend to talk about tea quite a lot already!)

How I would love to be whisked away to a secret location this Easter, and to do little more than relax, sip tea and nibble on cupcakes. Come to think of it, I might do the latter anyway, lavish garden party or not!

For those of you heading off for the long weekend, safe travels and have a wonderful Easter! For those of you sticking around...tomorrow is a mixed bag of hidden places and forest hideaways, and maybe even a few "Back in My Day" tales from your Aunty Kit. Lucky you!

But don't worry, if you're going to be around over the break then I promise you'll be rewarded for humouring my impending nostalgia, because I have some very exciting news for you...but you'll have to wait until Monday! And trust me, it's worth the wait!

I will def. take the mad hatter (seeing as it's johnny depp in the upcoming movie :p)
But seriously thank you for posting more dreamy pictures. They take you to another world, wish my garden now could do that. That's the problem with living in the city

How I miss eating outside!! In Japan it's not something they do. The only time we eat outside is when we do flower viewing (the season is coming!). It's so nice to eat out in summer...

oh my goodness, i'm in LOVE with all these images! outdoor parties are my favorite - and so rare in seattle where the rain tends to ruin those plans so quickly. i can't wait for late summer evenings, candlelight and the smell of wisteria!

I love the dreamy quality of the pictures. Very lovely.

Makes me want to decorate my little balcony so that I can have my own little space to relax and eat outside. :)

I wish I had ANYTHING to do for Easter :(
But I have no garden - woe is me, so no garden tea parties. And the boy is here, I doubt he'll want a tea party indoors. It'll be all "let's go out for a drink, honey", dammit.
Love love love the photos!

Kit, thank you for inspiring me and making me feel better today; I like the mix of vintage and contemporary, b & w, color and a mix of both; very very fun mix,
