Giveaway Goodness Returns!

It would appear that my computer ate last weeks Giveaway Goodness, but it's made a successful recovery and is back with a vengeance! My computer however is a slightly different story...but on with the show!

This week's wonderful Giveaway Goodness comes to us from geek chic Etsy store...

A quirky combination of science and style, It's Not Exactly Rocket Surgery is the creative outlet of PhD extraordinaire Nicole! When she's not buried under books or creating cute jewellery, she's sourcing fashion gems for her vintage princess dress store, Vintage Principessa. So many talents, so few hours in the day!

Our fantastic giveaway this week combines the best of both worlds! On offer is the adorable 'I'd Rather Be a Ballerina Than a Scientist' necklace - the first piece in a new line of laser-cut jewellery. I for one can't wait to see the rest of the range, or the hand-painted shirts that are coming soon either - science geekery at its best (and who doesn't love a little reminder of those fun times in the science labs with Bunsen burners and test tubes?!)

So what do you need to do to make this necklace all yours, I hear you ask?! A slightly different MO than usual, but with twice as many chances to win! Woo!

Firstly, head over to It's Not Rocket Surgery and Vintage Principessa, then mosie on back here and tell us about your favourite items from each store, and why you love them so! (I'm still distraught that I missed out on this fantastic prom dress! Sigh!)

For your second chance to win, cruise on over to Nicole's Australian Etsy blog (the lady doesn't sleep!) become a follower and leave a comment over there too - you can check out the best of Aussie Etsy sellers while you're there, and even enter another great jewellery giveaway while you're at it! Make sure you mention this giveaway so I can find you!

Entries will be open until Friday 11:59pm AEST. All the usual rules apply...one entry per person per blog, and please include your email address if your profile or blog do not feature it. The entries will be pooled together and the winner will be selected with the help of our crazy little friend, Random.org.

Good luck!

Stunning satin vintage 70s handmade wedding prom Marilyn Monroe dress with beaded halterneck bodice and gorgeous full skirt. I love that one from Vintage Principessa. Gorgeous! Great giveaway.

This is so cool! That necklace is really cute. I can totally relate to being a science nerd and a design mind at the same time... so there's hope that one can actually have a life besides graduate studies! Say hello and congratulations to Miss Rocket Surgery from me :)

From It's Not Rocket Surgery I love the bracelet "I'm So Hardcore I've got Tools" and From Vintage Principessa I love the "50s 60s green apron" Both of them are so adorable!
The apron is so adorable, I would feel so feminine cooking in something like that! While the tool bracelet would bring me back to my tom-boy tendencies.

I love both the brass teapot charm and the champagne satin wedding gown from Vintage Principessa. Not Rocket Science is amazing! There are so many things to covet on their site. I really like the heart and brain necklaces, as well as the octopus necklace. I agree that life isn't complete without an octopus. Thanks for showing us these great sites and for hosting the giveaway.

Mhm. I should have finished reading the instructions before posting my comment... so, here's a PS: my favorite pieces are - from Rocket Science: the ballerina necklace, actually (though the safety pin earrings are also very cute) - and from VintagePrincipessa: that raspberry red dress, though it would not fit me :( I also love the ivory lace dress! ... so please, please let this count as one post together with my first one!

Greetings,
poet

Items I love
NotRocketSurgery - Life Isn't Complete Without An Octopus (mostly I love the name!!!)
Vintage Principessa - I love the simplicity of the double heart silver vintage ring

I mean, really my favourite is the heart necklace with ballerina on (I was a scientist! I'm not a ballerina but I do want to learn to dance!)

> NotRocketSurgery's shop - the butterflynekclaces! Simple, and could match with anything.
> vintageprincipessa's shop - absolutely the vintage pink prom princess dress! It is a mix of what's hot in prom dresses today, with its own vintage look. I would really want to buy this dress if i had the money. Everyone would envy me... ah. the cut and the puffy tulle princess skirt!

My favourites are the 'You Have Beautiful Neurons' card because it's quirky but cute as well, and the blue 70s retro dress because it would make an amazing 70s party outfit!

Thanks!
