Under the Weather

Apologies for the quietness here on the ol' Blogsie Malone, I'm still a little under the weather..and truth be told, still shellshocked by the images and stories emerging from the flood-affected areas in Queensland and northern New South Wales. I have friends and some family in the affected regions, so what little energy I have at the moment is being channeled towards making sure everyone is alright, and doing what little I can to help from so far away.

Be strong, stay safe, hug your loved ones.

xx Kit

P.S. Once again, any donations are gratefully received at the Queensland Premier's Flood Relief Appeal or the RSPCA Queensland Flood Crisis Appeal. Thank you. xx

My recent post beautiful moon
I moved to Brisbane three months ago from Madrid, and this has been the most devastating experience I have ever had. But, on the other side, it is incredible the spirit of these Australians that are helping each other from the very first moment. It´s been a lesson of sympathy, strenght and love.

I love the capture!
I hope your friends and family are recovering ok, and are able to draw on the amazing community spirit and kindness that all this devastation has brought out in their neighbours and others.

I totally understand how you don't feel like blogging at the moment, but when you feel up to it again, I just wanted to let you know that I've nominated you for The Stylish Blogger Award, cos I always enjoy reading it :) Check out http://kikichaos.com/daily-life/stylish-blogger-a...

It is just horrible what is happening over there. I can't imagine it ever happening to myself. I donated what I could even though it's not much.
The effects of the floods have been absolutely heartbreaking.

I live in Victoria so am so far away from all of it, however it's been truly amazing to see all Australians come together to offer support to all of those effected. Whether it be lining up with a shovel in hand to help clean up the mess, donating money, or offering to babysit the children in the makeshift safe areas - it's been incredible to see just how quickly people have come forward to work together to help those suffering.
