Let Your Hair Down

As someone who is in desperate need of a haircut, I find myself drawn to all sorts of images of hair, wondering if it's time for a pixie cut or a return to brunette-dom at the very least. As tends to be the case however, it's when you've stopped looking that you find an unexpected spark of inspiration. Spotted at Where The Lovely Things Are, I'm absolutely loving these delicate illustrations - and better yet, they're all available at nosideup's Etsy store!

I think I'll keep my hair long for the time being. Now just to master something a little more elaborate than a stock-standard pony tail!

Love the second one, need to try that! I've had long hair all my life, and I'd never cut it off. Don't do that to yourself unless you are sure you won't regret it!

I'd keep your hair long too. I recently cut mine pretty short.... and it was great at first... but now all I want to do is pull it up and that's not possible unless I use about 7 bobby pins and a headband. Unpleasant..

I'd keep my hair long as well, but maybe at a length you're most comfortable with. I used to have my hair down to my waist, but when I moved to Colorado due to the dry air my hair started looking like a broom - brittle and gross, so I had to cut it. Ever since I've had it semi short, but I've liked it so far. But every once in a while I secretly dream it was still long!

Lovely pictures!

The drawings are so interesting. I love them. I too wish I could do something more complicated with my hair. Its almost to the middle of my back. It usually ends up in a ponytail or braid just to get it off my face.

How gorgeous are these illustrations!? Long hair is troublesome unless you live with someone who can do these do-s... Go short and cute!

poet - If you have success with that second hairstyle, let me know! I need all the help I can get! I'm liking my long hair at the moment but still think I could lose a few inches!

Mallory - Ooh I've had my hair at that length too, it's such a pain! Plus I'd always loose my hair clips and bobby pins so it was always in my face!

Daydream Lily - I think I've been almost every length and every colour - or every shade of blonde, red and brunette! And from waist length hair to spiky Astro Girl stylee! There's nothing quite like hacking off all your hair and dying it red to spite an ex-boyfriend :D

MGU - Absolutely my pleasure, they're gorgeous and deserve to be admired!

Evy - I had waist length hair for most of my life...then when I chopped it all off, I didn't necessarily miss it, but I still dreamed that I had long hair! Maybe my subconscious was trying to tell me something :D

KyaLyn - I'm exactly the same...except not talented enough to braid my own hair! Even my pony tail skills are lacking! :D

Rismawaty - You think you'll grow it back?

Kylie - Short hair can definitely be a lot less work...but I've had some short cuts that are a nightmare to get looking good too! I think my hair just enjoys being difficult :D

Oh I love the pixie style cuts Ive seen around. Wish I could pull them off, but I have extra long hair I'm too scared to part with.
I think you should do it for people like me who are not as brave!

Very interesting! These pictures inspire me. I really like the first one, it makes me want to try them out using different hair accessories. Good thing because I have long hair. :)
