Gardens and Gasoline

Yet again I find myself completely devoid of the brainpower required to put together a coherent, worthy review of Alice, but look, I have some pretty flowers to make it up to you!

And not just any old flowers either! These are a few of the delightfully cheeky Pothole Gardens by Pete Dungey - a sly but pretty dig (excuse the pun) at the state of the roads in Britain.

The public installation series is ongoing, and Pete is even after a little project participation, so if you have a pothole near you* that needs a little love, time to get your hands dirty and your camera ready - more info here!

*Garden safely!

My what impeccable taste you have, Dana! :D I'm so out of the loop right now, I've subscribed to yellowtrace but I've been neglecting my Google Reader for weeks...maybe even months :O There's probably at least 5000 unread items by now, I'm so glad Google doesn't count higher than 1000!

Shall try to catch up over the weekend and spam you with comments on all your posts from the last month or two :D
oh my gosh - how adorable.
Too cute! I never would have thought to put flowers in a pothole.
oh this is brilliant! We had to have a wheel replaced recently owing to driving through a pothole - love this idea!
That is such a cute idea! Love it! There's definitely quite a few potholes in my town that could use a pick me up. haha.
love, love this!!!
I love these flowers on the road! You have an interesting visual thinking.
That is the coolest thing I've seen since I can't remember when :)
it's a great idea !!!!
Great idea! really like it
Pothole gardening still going strong in London - not sure if it's great because it's so pretty or it's bad because that means there's still potholes everywhere...!
